The course cluster of Second Foreign Languages is a restricted elective within the undergraduate public foreign language curriculum. The Language Centre currently offers two levels of Arabic (Second Foreign Language):
Arabic (Second Foreign Language) (1) provides a systematic introduction to the Arabic script, focusing on pronunciation and writing, along with basic daily conversations (e.g., greetings and self-introductions) and foundational grammar with an emphasis on morphology.
Arabic (Second Foreign Language) (2) further develops students’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. The grammatical focus shifts towards syntax, and selected dialectal expressions may be introduced to complement Modern Standard Arabic.
