The course cluster of Second Foreign Languages is a restricted elective within the undergraduate public foreign language curriculum. The Language Centre offers four levels of Italian courses—Italian (Second Foreign Language) (1), (2), (3), and (4)—with instruction beginning at the introductory level and progressing gradually. The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is adopted as the proficiency benchmark throughout the curriculum.
