The course cluster of Second Foreign Languages is a restricted elective within the undergraduate public foreign language curriculum. The Language Centre currently offers four levels of German as a second foreign language: German (Second Foreign Language) (1), (2), (3), and (4). These courses provide systematic instruction in German pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar, while developing students’ basic skills in listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation. Integrated with the language instruction is an introduction to the cultures of German-speaking countries, aiming to enhance students’ intercultural communication competence.
